Missing teeth can lead to many issues, including difficulty chewing, progressive bone loss in the jaws and a sagging appearance in the face. With today’s advancements in dental technology, people have many options for replacing missing teeth or teeth needing extraction.
Our doctors offer a wide variety of tooth replacement solutions, including implant-supported teeth. Dr. Justene Doan and Dr. Tran are experienced implant dentists with extensive advanced training under their belts. They use state-of-the-art technology for minimally invasive, high-quality treatment.
What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is used for replacing broken-down or missing teeth.
An implant can be topped with a single crown, or as a more economical option, several implants can be used to support a bridge. Dental implants can also be used to stabilize dentures.
In the past, patients with health conditions such as diabetes, or patients with advanced bone loss in the jaws were not candidates for dental implants. Nowadays, due to advancements in dentistry, most patients can avail themselves of implant treatment.

Single-tooth replacement
Our doctors recommend replacing a missing tooth with a single implant and crown. Our crowns are made out of high-quality porcelain and are designed to look just like natural teeth.
An implant has the advantage of not affecting the patient’s healthy teeth. This is not the case with a traditional dental bridge, which requires the grinding down of each tooth adjacent to the gap, so the bridge can fit over them.
Multiple-teeth replacement
The doctors offer several options for replacing multiple teeth. Some of the options they may recommend include:
Multiple single implants
The doctors recommend multiple single implants as the optimum solution for replacing multiple teeth.
Implant-supported bridge
The next best option to replace multiple teeth is an implant-supported bridge. The bridge would be supported by two or more implants, depending on how many teeth need to be replaced.
Non implant-supported dental bridge
A traditional bridge is a series of artificial teeth used to fill in a space left behind by missing teeth. The bridge’s end crowns are placed over the patient’s teeth adjacent to the gap, then the bridge is cemented in place. This option requires the patient’s healthy teeth to be ground down, which could cause problems to them in the future. For this reason, our doctors usually recommend an implant-supported option instead.
Partial denture
The most affordable option for multiple missing teeth is a partial denture, which attaches to the teeth with a metal clasp. We also offer no-metal partials. However, partial dentures do not offer much ability to chew ones food, like implant options do.
Replacing all your teeth
Implant-supported bridges
Implant-supported bridges are the most natural-looking, feeling and acting option for replacing all the teeth. They are made from beautiful, durable porcelain and give excellent chewing power. The doctors use a series of implant-supported bridges to replace a whole arch of teeth. The bridges are supported by six implants in the bottom arch and seven or eight implants in the top arch.
Implant-supported fixed-in denture (non-removable)
Fixed-in, implant-supported dentures are secured to implants in the mouth and are non-removable, except by the dentist. There is no need for an artificial plastic palate (roof of the mouth) with this option.
Depending on how much healthy jawbone the patient has, the doctors will place between four and six implants to support a bottom fixed-in denture and between five and seven implants to support the top denture.
Implant-supported snap-on denture (removable)
Snap-on (removable) dentures are fit with special attachments and snap in place. They require two to four implants for the bottom arch and four to six implants for the top arch. These can be snapped in and out by the patient.
Regular acrylic denture
While dentures can be the most affordable teeth replacement option, they have many disadvantages, including low chewing power and progressive bone loss. Our doctors recommend stabilizing the dentures using implants.
The doctors create dentures that are aesthetic, natural-looking and comfortable. They will even use pictures of you with all your teeth to try to match your natural look as closely as possible.
